STYLE NO. 2954: CLASSIC WORK MOC-TOE
The rugged Cooper Moc features Amber Portage leather, Goodyear welt construction, triple stitched quality and a reliable Vibram® 430 Mini-lug sole for added grip.
THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE
Named for the woodworkers who build barrels and casks, the Cooper takes the classic silhouette of the Red Wing Moc Toe and adds a Vibram 430 Mini-Lug outsole. The Mini-Lug offers a greater measure of traction when you need it—in the mud and snow of the coming season—while keeping a low profile for more refined forays. And the rest of the Cooper is up for it too, with sturdy leathers from our S.B. Foot tannery that shrug off dirt, abrasion and moisture for a lifetime of service. Goodyear welt construction ensures durability and can be resoled as often as you wear them out, which won’t be easy to do, but it’s nice to know.
MATERIALS
Oil-Tanned leather is a very durable and vivid leather.
OIL-TANNED LEATHER
S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for oil-tanned leather which is used to build a variety of timeless Red Wing styles. This leather is water, stain and perspiration resistant, and has a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing’s 108+ year history.

SIZING & BREAK IN
In order to build a Red Wing boot to an exact size and width, the boot is constructed around a shoe last.
STYLE NO. 2954: CLASSIC WORK MOC-TOE
A new pair of Red Wing Heritage boots should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. Over time the full grain leather upper, leather footboard and cork midsole mold to your feet, creating an enduring and customized fit over time with each wear.
THE 2954 IS BUILT USING THE NO. 23 LAST:
A last is used in shoemaking to give footwear its three-dimensional shape. Resembling the human foot, the last determines critical toe, heel and girth dimensions for fit, style and function.
  • Was created in the 1950s and is Red Wing’s most iconic last
  • Includes extra room in the forefoot and instep for easy entry
  • Fits a variety of foot shapes
  • Most customers buy Red Wing Heritage footwear 1/2 size smaller than their normal size
  • Trying on Red Wing Heritage footwear in a store is recommended to get the perfect fit
